Recompense Stansbury was of the family of that name in Scotch Plains, Eunice Ogdenst? was born in Morristown, N. J., where she was married, and wherethey lived for several years. In 1810, her husband sold his farm for $1000, and with thatamount purchased 1000 acres of heavily-timbered land in Ohio, near the present site ofWorthington. Here they both died, he in 1843, ^.nd she in 1854, and both were buried inNew Cemetery at Worthington. Their only child was born in Morristown, N. J. 212.
