During Winter, road to Tamagawa Onsen is closed. Only way in is via specially chartered buses to the various onsens. Once in, you will be treated to amazing sight of winter wonderland of thick fresh powder snow. Whilst wildlife is not easy to see, their paw prints are however everywhere.
