The imperial abbey Rot an der Rot in the district of Biberach was one of the first Premonstratensian monasteries in Upper Swabia. The monastery was probably founded in 1126 by Hemma von Wildenberg as a double monastery. The monastery complex is overlooked by the early classicist monastery church of St. Verena, newly built in 1777-1786.
