Close to the little village of Alfaix in the Almeria district of Spain is this fascinating valley gorge. The rocks of the high cliffs have been eroded by the stream which runs through it and which at times can be a torrent. The rocks have many fossils. It is a difficult and challenging part of a 4 mile circular walk in the hillls.
