A cased pair of percussion pistols, Carmant, Abbeville/France, circa 1840. Reblued rifled Damascus barrels in 12 mm calibre with patent breeches and marked "ELG" on the underside. Percussion locks bear floral engraving and are signed "CARMANT A ABBEVILLE" below the cocks. Carved walnut stocks with fluted grips and engraved iron furniture. Length of each 42 cm.
