An F/A-18E Super Hornet, attached to the "Tomcatters" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 31, launches from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77). George Bush is returning to homeport in Norfolk, Va., after completing deployment to the 6th and 5th Fleets Area of Operations (AOO) in support of national security interests. The deployment is part of a regular rotation of forces to support maritime security operations and theatre security efforts.
