Saint Bernardino of Siena (1380–1444) ca. 1600 Fulvio Signorini Bernardino, toothless and charismatic, was a reforming Franciscan friar and a preacher of great power. He holds his attribute, the name of Jesus, which was one of his props while preaching. Quickly canonized following his death, he became a patron saint of Siena.
