A Chalcidian helmet, the so-called "winged griffin crest helmet", 4th century Bronze, high skull. The detachable "griffin crest" made of two riveted sheets is fastened to soldered hooks. Smooth, embossed field on the forehead with traces of solder from an appliqué present earlier, above it an attachment ring. Volutes on the sides with riveted naturalistcally shaped sheet metal wings. Three additional holes above the volutes are either the result of an old repair or from shifting the wings. Long curved, cheek pieces with chin strap holes and tubular hinges.,
