Business started early and the shipping orders were heavy. Early advertising helped considerably and had a telling effect when the day came. It is estimated that 50,000 people went into Forest Lawn cemetery and many thousands into the other ceme- teries on the east side and Pine Hill. Every possible flower and plant was brought to the front and stock was sold the minute the commission man showed it. Prices took a decided jump. Carna- tions went from 3 cents to 5 cents in one day, and other stock advanced in proportion. The rush was so steady that the advance was not so noticeable to the people as it usually is, due only to the fact that they feared there would not be enough to go around. Some re- tailers who sell geraniums at 15 cents other days raised to 25 cents for small stock, which looked to some like taking advantage of the public. E. A, S. ERIE, PA. Decision in the suit of equity begun by Mabel A. Baur and S. Alfred Baur against William F. Kasting, charging that the latter did not fulfill his agree- ment in a transaction eight years ago, will be made by Judge Walling proba- bly this week. Arguments were heard May 31. The complainants allege that when twenty acres of land near Twenty-sixth street and Washington avenue were given to Mr, Kasting, as trustee, dur- ing a business reorganization, he took it over conditionally. They say the property was to be sold to parties named by Mabel Baur within five years or returned to original owners on de- mand. Mr. Kasting denied that de- mands were made on him and said that by paying debts against the property he acquired title. Mr. Baur contends that what Mr. Kasting paid toward the pr
