London Ontario, Canada - January 1, 2012. CAW Local 27 workers have been locked out of the ElectroMotive locomotive factory in London Ontario. At 11:59 on December 31, 2011 the contract the union had with the company expired. On January 1, 2012 the union instructed their members to report to work for their normal 11pm shift, at which point the workers were notified through a message on a 1-800 information line that they were locked out.
