She married, No-vember 17, 1833, Isaac George Smith, andthey were the parents of Mary JaneSmith, who became the wife of GeorgeWashington Page. He was born in Meriden,Connecticut, April 26, 1869, and receivedan elementary education in the public,schools of his native town. The untimelydeath of his father necessitated that heleave school at an early age, and he be-came a clerk in a clothing store, continu-ing in that and similar employment untilhis removal to Bristol, Connecticut, in histwenty-third year. At that time he beganhis connection with the New DepartureManufacturing Company, of which he isnow the head. This corporation wasestablished twenty-nine years ago andwas originally the New Departure BellCompany.
