One of five ventilation shafts for the new High Speed Rail is being built nearby where a tunnel for the train will go underneath the Chilterns. The controversial High Speed Rail from London to Birmingham is massively over budget. Naturalist Chris Packham launched a petition this month for work to stop on HS2 immediately.
