Staff Sgt. Cyndi Pearl Baltezore graduates from the Infantry Transition Course at the Umatilla Army Depot, Oregon on April 14, making her the first female infantry Soldier in the California Army National Guard. Baltezore, with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-185th Infantry Battalion (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), paves the way for more females to join the infantry ranks.
