A gathering of custom built homebuilt experimental aircraft. These Rutan style "Canard Pushers" are known for the rear engine.

A gathering of experimental-category airplanes at a general aviation airport for a gathering known as a fly-in. These types of aircraft have a very good safety record and most are custom built by their owners from a set of plans, drawings, and other instructions rather than a kit. Sometimes they are erroneously called kit-planes. Many obtain the type of fuel economy per mile traveled similar to that of an average 4 cylinder economical car.
