Loos-en-Gohelle, France. 26th Sept. 2024. Awaiting burial at the Loos British Military Ceremony, the coffins of two unknown WWI Scottish soldiers killed at the Battle of Loos in WWI whose remains were recently found during construction work for the new Lens hospital. The soldiers were buried with full military honours at the official opening of the cemetery's extension, only the second such extension of a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in France since the end of WWII.
