1932 World Famous Snail in the Bottle Case Paisley Scotland


SNAIL IN THE BOTTLE SCOTTISH LEGAL CASE Today September 12th 2018 a bronze Statue was raised to May Donoghue by the artist Mandy McIntosh and paid for by the Heritage and Events Fund after it was forged in Edinburgh by Powderhall Foundry. The statue of May holding Twin Granddaughters, Elizabeth and Evelyn on the day of their christening back in 1952, Is said to symbolise Scales of Justice after Lord Atkin’s world famous Snail in the bottle 1932 case on negligence. Unveiled by Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron, September 12th 2018
