The Journal of Education originated in Janesville,but was transferred to this city. Col. J. G. McMynn,afterwards state superintendent, was its editor, suc-ceeded by A. J. Craig, also state J. B. Pradt is now one of the editors. Discon-tinued in 1865, in consequence of a withdrawal ofstate support, it was resumed when partial aid wasafforded. S
