Farnham Common, UK. 28th November, 2022. Plicaturopsis crispa, Crimped Gill fungi growing on dead tree limbs, particularly silver birch, in woodland at Burnham Beeches. Plicatura crispa are said to have been growing prolifically in England since around 2010, but it is not know why. Burnham Beeches is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a National Nature Reserve and a European Special Area of Conservation where many rare and threatened species of fungi can be found.
