'Un essai de reconstitution plastique des races humaines primitives'. 1916. insAcademie royale de Belgique, (Nouv. Series) T. VII. These paintings were made between 34, 000 and 14, 000 years ago in the periods corresponding to Aurignacian to Magdalenian palaeolithic art. The caves are moslty closed to visitors today to conserve the delicate colours of the ancient originals.
