Liver cancer. Computed tomography (CT) scan of the abdomen of a 50 year old alcoholic patient with liver cancer. The liver (left to upper centre) is enlarged due to the presence of the tumour, which measures 23 centimetres wide. This is hepatocellular carcinoma, the most common primary liver cancer. The main risk factor is alcoholism.
