AMUSEMENTS AND RECREATIONS Athletics of all kinds will be a special feature during the season of 1914—ball games, tennis matches, running races, jumping, swimming, etc. Visitoriare welcome to enter these THE SWIMMING POOL Chautauqua, Illinois 15 SWIMMING POOL Size, 75 feet wide by 175 feet long. Enjoyed by old and young daily exceptSunday. The depth is graduated from two feet to eight feet. There arespringing boards, swing and slide. Watching the bathers is one of the favoritepastimes of those who do not desire to take a plunge in the pool. Depth at different points is plainly indicated by large figures, and theincrease is so gradual that there is no danger for those who cannot swim,while the swimmer has room to enjoy as long a dash as is usually desired. An expert is in constant attendance to assist those who may wish to learnto swim. Private dressing rooms and bathing suits can be had at reasonable prices. TENNIS The tennis courts, of which there are three, are free to cottagers andvisitors. Bring your racquets with you.
