Keen in research, lucid in understanding and in making himself under-stood, fearless and skilful in practice, he has won well-deserved eminence in his profession, andgives abundant promise of increasing honor and usefulness with increasing years. Dr. Mc-Clelland was married in 1884 to Miss Eachel May, daughter of the late John P. Pears, of Pitts-burgh, and has had three children, Sarah, Rachel, and Elizabeth, the last named dying ininfancy. mem.
