The scheme was designed by architects Fredrick MacManus and Partners for London Borough of Camden, and was built between 1974 and 1979. The estate was one of the largest social housing estates in Camden with homes for 276 households. Like much of the British local authority housing built after World War II, it suffered from under-funding, resulting in poor maintenance. This image is from an old amateur colour transparency. It will look soft and grainy if used at too large a size – a vintage 1970s photograph.
