Looking down Watendlath Beck from near the hamlet of Watendlath in the English Lake District. The beck flows from Watendlath Tarn, down the flat bottomed valley, over the Lodore Falls to join Derwentwater. It is a popular walk for hikers. Watendlath hamlet is accessible to visitos by car along the B5289. Much of Watendlath, tarn, farm and buildings are owned by the National Trust. The name Watendlath comes from the old Norse for "Water End Barn."
