5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 09, 2017) Hull Maintenance Technician 3rd Class Robert Axleson, ventilates the boatswain's locker during a damage control training exercise aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58). Laboon is in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and free flow of commerce in the region.
