Wall painting from a small bedroom in the House of Orpheus, Casa di Orfeo, or the house of Vesonius Primus. Reg. VI, Ins. 14, No. 20. Illustration drawn by Discanno and lithographed by Victor Steeger from Emile Presuhn's "Les Decorations Murales de Pompei," Weigel, Leipzig, 1878. German archeologist Presuhn (1844-1881) lived in Italy for eight years and, with Mr. Discanno, made exact copies of many wall paintings that are now lost.
