The object of thisinvention is to provide a comparatively large heatingarea for the charge from the carburetor in a limitedspace. The charge enters a so-called vortex chamber, that is, a short cylindrical chamber with tangential in-let, which is completely surrounded by an exhaust tangential inlet gives the gases a whirling motion inthe vortex chamber, throwing any unvaporized particles against the cylindrical, exhaust-heated surface. Theoutlet from the vortex chamber is either at one end orboth ends. The intention is to pass the gaseous mixture ^J^r^^~---\. ijw.
