UK Weather: The sunrises over Preston Docks as the good weather looks set to continue for the next few days with long periods of sunshine forecast with temperatures approaching 20 degrees. Preston dock was opened in 1892, by Queen Victoria’s second son, Prince Albert. The company EH Booth & Co Ltd chartered the first ship to visit the docks, a company with links to the current Booths grocers, which is still based in Preston.
