Whilst we pray for them, oh, let us, like good men and true,enter into those privileges and graces which we enjoy, cleansingour souls from sin, preserving them in their purity by the fre-quent application of grace, which destroys those sins at thebeginning, and, by frequenting confession and holy communion,build up our souls upon the grace of graces, and strength ofstrengths, until we are gathered, in the fullness of the years ofour manhood, into the joy of our Lord Jesus Christ. Men in every walk of life arein pursuit of the true and the beautiful. The poet seeks it inhis verse, the philosopher in his speculations, the statesman inhis legislation, the artist in the exhibition of his art.
