INDIAN OCEAN (Jan. 5, 2021) – Navy Retail Service Specialist 3rd Class Tyrek Brodie, right, and Marine Cpl. Caleb Smith, a light armored vehicle mechanic, assigned to Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion 15, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), move supplies for the ship’s store aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th MEU are conducting operations in the 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
