They correspond to the spermatic arteries in the male and arise directlyfrom the aorta. The artery of each side passes downward and enters the broadligament. After giving off the branches that supply the ovary, the artery passeson to the upper part of the uterus where it divides into two branches. The upperbranch supplies the fundus uteri and anastamoses with the corresponding branchof the opposite ar
