PRT Farah attended a gender strategy working group meeting with the director of women's affairs to discuss literacy program initiatives for women in the districts of Bala Boluk and Pusht-e Rod. PRT Farah's mission is to train, advise and assist Afghan government leaders at the municipal, district and provincial levels in Farah province, Afghanistan. Their civil military team is comprised of members of the Navy, Army, the Department of State and the Agency for International Development (USAID).
