The low-energy Enterprise Centre at Norwich Research Park pairs vernacular materials with Passivhaus principles. It features an innovation lab, a 300-seat theatre, flexible workspaces, teaching and learning facilities as well as business hatcheries for SMEs and start-ups. Almost every part of the building is based on timber or cellulose; the most striking manifestation of design, however, is the use of thatch as a rainscreen.
