Thefatlier, A. G. Ekscll, is a practical farmer of his na-tive country, Sweden, and is still living, as is alsohis wife, whose maiden name was Caroline Lind-quist. They were old friends and neighbors ofthe late John Nelson, the inventor, of Rockford.(See sketch.) Levin Eksell married in Rockford to MissHildegard Djulang, a native of Stockholm, Swe-den, in which city she was reared and 1888, she emigrated to the United States, andleft home and friends to form new ties in astrange country. Her father, Eric G. Djulang,died in Stockholm in 1872, when about middle wife and one daughter came to Americain June, 1892, and are residing in Eksell came direct to Rockford on coming tothe United States, and was subsequently marriedto our suliject.
