The supply of Pre- mier has increased and the quality has improved to the point where this novelty is a competitor with Russell and Colum- bia for first place in the market. These three varieties are the leaders, but any other good roses sell. The supply of short stems is somewhat less than earlier in the month and all roses are clearing. Carnations have gone down to a point where the supply is extremely small, but at the same time the quality has im- proved, for the houses that were giving poor stock
