Robert William Holley (1922-1993, far left), US biochemist, with a group of his researchers. Holley shared the 1968 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine with Har Gobind Khorana and Marshall W. Nirenberg. The share of the Nobel was awarded for Holley's work on the isolation and structure of transfer RNA (ribonucleic acid).
