The regular meeting of the New Jersey Floricultura! Society was held in Lindsley hall, 240 Main street. Fri- day, June 10. The orchid exhibits from Lager & Hurrell. Joseph A. Manda, West Orange, and Wm. Run- kle, gardener to D. Kindsgrab, were especially fine. Rose night was also observed, there being a grand display from the private estates in the Or- anges. John R, Le Count of Maple- wood, N. J., donated to the society a handsome silver cup to be competed for in any manner decided upon. It will more than likely be competed for at the chrysanthemum show in November. A hearty vote of thanks was extended to Mr. Le Count for beautiful gift. During the even- ing we were honored by a visit from Mayor Arthur B. Seymour, who com- plimented the society upon the excel- lence of the exhibition. The society Is proud of the fact that five of its members carried off the principal prizes
