CHINESE PAINTING ON GLASS 411—Ladies in The Garden of Blooming Flowers Height, 221/2 inches; length, !30Vi; inches At the left a corner of a summer-house comes into view in awooded and rocky landscape or natural garden, two ladiesapproaching on the veranda and another standing on theground at the foot of the steps. Here on a level patch in theforeground are also other figures, one a boy mounted on asjjotted stag. Through the landscape courses a placid river,and on the farther shore are seen some gray buildings. Thewhole landscape is done in blue, green and clouds float in a blue sky. In a leaf on the pavilionis inscribed the name of the ,---«.
