Henley on Thames, UK. 17th March, 2017. On the A4155 Henley on Thames to Marlow road 7700 toads, 1050 frogs and 200 newts have been assisted in reaching their spawning ponds. Members of the Henley Toad Patrol collect the amphibians in buckets and escort them over the busy main road, where they are released close to their spawning ponds. After spawning they are assisted back across the road to the woods where they will spend the rest of the year. Many other groups around the country do a similar thing .
