5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 21, 2017) Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Ryan T. Egesdal prepares cargo to be sent from the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) to the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) during an underway replenishment. Carter Hall, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
