Fonthill house Doylestown Pennsylvania Unique poured concrete house built by Henry Mercer


South western tower of Fonthill from north east side. Large arched windows on ground floor with smaller windows in two stories above. Concrete terrace at base of tower on right. with buttresses onto lawn. Grass in foreground. Fonthill is a unique poured concrete house created during the Art and Crafts movement designed and built by Henry Mercer. The house boasts 44 rooms 18 fireplaces 32 stairwells and more than 200 windows and was completed 1912. It is now a National Historic Landmark.
