He continued in St. Paulfive years, and made a small fortune at his then went back to Clayton County, Iowa, pur-chased a farm of eighty acres, and was there mar-ried, in 1865, to Miss Wilhelmina, diiughter ofChristian and Elizabeth (Lindekul) Severin, nativesof Saxony, Prussia, who came to America withtheir family in 1856.
