Several staff members were recently recognized as Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune’s latest Starfish Award recipients. Starfish winners are selected based on their dedication and commitment to patient safety and wellness. In December, each of the members played an important role in helping save the life of a pediatric patient at NMCCL. The post-surgery patient developed life-threatening complications which were quickly identified by staff members. A rapid response effort was initiated which resulted in the quick stabilization and transfer of the patient to an external facility. BRAVO
