This variety is well known wherever Lima Beans are grown as it com- bines productiveness with choice quality. The plants make a vigorous, upright growth so that the pods are held well above the soil surface. This keeps them clean and avoids rust and rot even during wet seasons. The pods are borne in clusters which accounts for the productiveness of this splendid va- riety. Each pod is about 5 inches in length and contains 4 or 5 ver>' thick, light green, oval beans which have a distinctive rich nut-like flavor quite unlike any other va- riety. The plants are of strong upright growth, heavily laden with large pods many of which contain 4 beans each. Many gardeners pronounce the broad, flat beans superior in flavor to those of the round, thick-seeded varieties. We highly recommend it and suggest that you give it a thorough trial this vear. Pkt.
