A participant in the Danish Youth Parliament asks a question to be replied by the Danish Minister for Research, Innovation and Higher Education. The Youth Parliament is held every second year by the Danish Parliament. The 179 seats are taken by Danish secondary students, grades 8 and 9, invited to become politicians for one day. The purpose is to introduce the rules on which democracy is based, to increase understanding of processes leading to democratic decisions and to understand the interplay of the democratic decision-making processes.
