YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 18, 2017) - Cmdr. Jason Eckhardt, from League City, Tx., Executive Officer of the 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), and Cmdr. Richard Zamberlan, from Ann Arbor, Mich., take part in a "bong off" ceremony. Cmdr. Eckhardt was properly relieved by Cmdr. Zamberlan as Executive Officer. Blue Ridge is in an extensive maintenance period in order to modernize the ship to continue to serve as a robust communications platform in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
