Museum der Bildenden Kunste Katharinenstrasse Leipzig Saxony Germany

The Leipzig Museum of Fine Arts (Museum der Bildenden Künste) is one of the city's most notable art galleries and dates back more than 170 years. With a huge collection of literally thousands of paintings, sculptures, prints, sketches and drawings, many of the exhibits are rotated on a regular basis, to ensure that there is always something fresh to be appreciated. Of particular interest is the museum's extensive Cranach collection, the many contemporary pieces and paintings by local up-and-coming German artists.
