Isaac; III. Cyrus; (ilrs. Samuel Painter), of Cliestcrcounty Pa. Jeh\i Dixon, the eldest of thefamily, grandfather of Samuel C. Dixon, wasborn in Christiana, hundred; when he had at-tained to manhood, lie bought 153 acres ofland in Mill Creek hundred, upon whichhe built a fine stone dwelling in 1791, andpassed the remainder of his life in farmingand improving his property. Jehu Dixonmarried ^lary, daughter of George and Uan-nah (Phillips) Taylor. Their children are: I. John, born February 9, 1791, died young; II.
