Ariadna Nikolayevna Ryzhkova, born on January 29, 1899, was a daughter of Nikolai Ryzhkov, a protoiereus of the Russian Orthodox Church and a senior priest of St Nicholas' Church in the Old Town Square in Prague and St Peter and Paul Church in Karlsbad, now Karlovy Vary, in the beginning of the 20th century. He was arrested by the Austrian authorities during World War I and died in 1918. His daughter was a precentor of a church choir and died in 1985. The Dormition church at the Olsany Cemetery was built in 1924-1925 by the Russian white emigre. The underground crypt was used as a burial place for the most notable persons of the Russian emigration in Czechoslovakia.
