When it becomes neces-sary to remove a wheel the work canbe done in exactly the same manner aswith the arch bar truck, and in case asingle oil box has to be removed, it isobvious that it can be taken out withless labor as there is only one bolt toloosen. The central portion of the truckis arranged so that the bolster can be re-moved by taking out the springs anddropping it down into the wider spaceusually occupied by the springs. The weight of this truck is considera-bly less than that of the ordinary archbar type and its adoption by railroadswill no doubt tend to lessen car truckrepair bills.
